This annual invitational is a national competitive exhibition that has been hosted by the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum since its inception in 1948. The purpose of the exhibition is to encourage and recognize professional artists. In addition, this exhibition aligns with the museum’s mission to foster art appreciation in the community. All works will be for sale and proceeds will benefit RAM’s educational programs and the participating artists. Cash prizes and a RAM purchase award will be granted. This year the number of winners has been expanded to included a “People’s Choice” category.

The 66th Annual River Valley Invitational will be on display at the museum from June 6 – September 14, 2014. Admission to the museum is free for everyone, and we are open Tuesday – Saturday from 11am- 6pm and Sunday from 1pm-5pm.
