Art on the Border Gives Back

A recent event that began in 2014 took on a new twist, rebranded itself and attracted many newcomers. ART ON THE BORDER brought in over 600 guests over this past Memorial Day weekend and supported The U.S. Marshall’s Museum, the Donald W Reynolds Cancer Support House and the Children’s Emergency Shelter this year. Twenty five area and regional artists offered a wide variety of original pieces, gave a percentage of sales to the organizations and came together to offer holiday entertainment thru the visual arts. This event, held at the Frisco Depot,  is a part of the Fort Smith Western Heritage Month which occurs each May serving and celebrating the Downtown. Net profit was $10,000 which will be split between those three charities.

Things to do in Fort Smith proudly supports our western heritage and congratulates those who made ART ON THE BORDER such a big success! Be on the lookout for more news on Fort Smith Western Heritage Month, as 2017 is already shaping up to be bigger and better!
